Building stronger, more connected communities.
The Neighbourhood Project is a non-profit organization founded by students in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). We're dedicated to redefining how we interact with the world around us, starting right in our own neighbourhoods.
We organize local events, workshops, educational initiatives, and community-building activities that bring people together and create a lasting sense of community. Our mission is simple: build more connected communities where every person recognizes the value of their contributions.
What started as a small group of friends is growing into a movement of awesome people, ideas, and meaningful impact.
From a simple idea to a growing movement.
Founded by Friends
A small group of students in the GTHA realized that communities were becoming disconnected and decided to do something about it.
First Community Events
We hosted our first community events and got to learn about and connect with people around us.
Schools & Partners
We began offering volunteer hours and opportunities to students, and working with other community organizations to benefit as many people as possible.
A Growing Movement
A network of incredible people across the GTHA, all working together to achieve a common goal.
How We Work Together
There are many ways to be part of what we're building.
Partners
We team up with local organizations to host events, share resources, and amplify our impact across Ontario.
